Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Roode Leeuw, I found the experience to be a pleasant mix of luxury and value. The spacious room on the 1st floor exceeded my expectations, providing a comfortable retreat in a central location, perfect for exploring Amsterdam's vibrant scene. The attentive staff, especially Livia at check-in, showcased impeccable service, making us feel truly pampered. Room service and housekeeping were exceptional, with daily replenishments ensuring a refreshing stay. The provision of tea and coffee facilities, along with a small fridge, added a homely touch. The ample hot water and strong shower pressure offered a rejuvenating experience after a long day of sightseeing. While the restaurant looked inviting, we didn't have a chance to dine there; however, breakfast was delicious with a good selection, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city, enhancing the overall value proposition. In conclusion, Roode Leeuw strikes a fine balance between luxury amenities and reasonable pricing, making it a smart choice for those seeking quality accommodation without breaking the bank. I would gladly return for another stay, appreciating the comfort and convenience offered during my time in Amsterdam.
